Start your wilderness adventure with a 30-minute floatplane journey. Have your camera on hand as you soar over stunning landscapes and watch for marine wildlife beneath you before landing at Waterfall Creek. This secluded, lesser-known wilderness spot offers incredible opportunities for brown bear sightings during the peak salmon run in late July and August.
From the shores of Waterfall Creek, we’ll have the chance to observe bears catching salmon. While wildlife sightings can’t be guaranteed, the area’s thriving bear population typically delivers. Brown bears are particularly active during the salmon runs in late July and August. After four hours of observing brown bears, hike back to where your floatplane awaits to take you back to Juneau.
